Here’s a easy to make snack that doesn’t require any cooking! Basically non-perishable but they’re so tasty that they don’t last long enough for you to notice! I’m always on the lookout for a high impact, minimum effort recipe, and this is one! A great appetizer or snack to set out when unexpected company arrives, easy to pack lunch snack, or general munchies.
My division at work received these as a Christmas Thank You gift from another division for some help we’d given them. They were given anomalously but as soon as I tasted the buttery, garlic and ranch dressing spices along with the crunch of the Oyster Crackers, I knew I had to track the recipe down! I’m not sure of the origin so I don’t know who to give the credit to – it looks like something that came off a box or label.
Ingredients
2 Bags of Oyster Crackers
8oz of Orville Redenbacher’s Butter Flavor Popcorn Oil
1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix.
1 tsp Dill Weed
1 tsp Lemon Pepper
1 tsp Garlic Salt or powder
Recipe
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Let stand 30 to 45 minutes, stirring periodically until oil is soaked into the crackers. Using a large bowl with a lid, and shaking it as well as letting it rest alternately on it’s bottom then on it’s top will help in distributing the flavorings.
